Deborah Niebrugge Reimers practices law in the areas of Family Law, Mediation, Criminal Law, Probate, Estate Planning, Wills and Trusts and Orders of Protection.
Deborah was sworn in as an attorney at law on May 5, 2005, after passing the Illinois Bar Exam. She attended and received her law degree in December 2004 from Southern Illinois University School of Law. Deborah attended law school when she was awarded the Neal Clinical Fellowship full scholarship award. While in law school Deborah completed an externship with the Office of the Effingham County State's Attorney where she assisted with trials and handled the daily court cases. Deborah graduated from Indiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. Prior to attending law school Deborah had previously earned her Master's in Business Administration degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and she worked in health care administration for 18 years. After earning her law degree Deborah opened her own successful law practice serving families and clients in Effingham and the surrounding counties. Deborah has a wide variety of experience within the court system and has an extensive background in management as well, providing her clients with a unique set of experiences to draw from. As a nearly life-long resident of Effingham County, Deborah is currently also a small business owner as a co-owner of two Effingham businesses: Uphill Grind Cycle & Fitness, LLC and Rickelman Holdings, LLC. Deborah is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association. Deborah is married to Dick Reimers. She has three children, Scott Mahon, currently a medical student in Chicago, Dr. Steven Mahon, of Chicago, and Stacia Mahon, a family based counselor in Chambersburg, PA. Deborah has one step-daughter, Laura Reimers, of Effingham. |
